Short Description:
The PCS stick is linked to the
standard (2) throttle knobs placed just underneath the instrument panel. The
first pushrod (the one linked directly to the stick) is following the stick's
lateral inclination but is linked to a gliding ring that is held vertical by means of
a positioning fin (pointing towards the floor).
By using this sliding ring system the
other throttle linking bars are NOT rotating anymore with the torsion bar.
So the lateral "rudder" movements of the stick are NOT influencing the
throttle position.
By moving the PCS stick forward,
MORE throttle is applied. By pulling it backwards, LESS power is applied.
On the PCS stick will also be mounted the manual BRAKE grip.
Consequently, the NON paraplegic Pilot
will use the standard throttle bars and even doesn't need to touch
the paraplegic control stick.
